1. Weight training

Weight training is a common type of strength training for developing the strength and size of skeletal muscles. It utilizes the force of gravity in the form of weighted bars, dumbbells or weight stacks in order to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction. Weight training uses a variety of specialized equipment to target specific muscle groups and types of movement.

2. Yoga.

Pilates called his method “Contrology.” It is practiced worldwide, and especially in western countries such as Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. As of 2005, there were 11 million people practicing the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States.

Pilates exercise can strengthen muscles and improve flexibility and muscle balance which is beneficial for heart health in cardiac patients.

Exercises that are not recommended for cardiac patients

1. Run long distance

This activity will worsen heart conditions, for high intensity workouts will make the pain and tightness in the chest. Although running can strengthen the heart, but heart patients, running long distances thus will spend the strength of heart.

2. Sport weight without exercise

Cardiac patients who exercise heavily without exercise is strongly not recommended. Like biking 20 miles directly, for example, this would encourage the heart to work faster and endanger the patient’s heart.
