About Pilocarpine Eye Drops

Pilocarpine Eye drops are a myotic drug, which is an eye drops that can shrink the pupil. Pilocarpine eye drops are used to treat glaucoma, especially acute type and closed angle glaucoma. This type of glaucoma is due to the sudden high pressure of the eyeball due to the blockage that makes the fluid in the eyeball not flow properly. This condition causes the eye to become painful, red, and potentially lead to blindness.

Pilocarpine eye drops work by shrinking the pupil. With its small pupil, it will open the flow of fluid in the eyeball so that it can exit and lower the eyeball pressure.
